Saifee Hospital Mumbai was established in 2005 and is ISO and NABH-approved. There existed the old Saifee Hospital, which had been operating since 1948. In 2001, construction on the existing site for a new hospital began. The new hospital was inaugurated in June 2005 in the presence of Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India.
Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin dedicated this hospital to his father, Syedna Taher Saifuddin.
The Saifee Hospital’s specializations span from simple daycare procedures to acute care emergency medicine and sophisticated cardiac surgery. During the 2011 Mumbai bombings, the hospital gave free treatment to anyone who was affected by the blast. Saifee Hospital has India’s first LASIK suite (for advanced laser eye surgery).
