Dr. Gaurav Kharya is a well-known Hemato Oncologist in Gurgaon. He has over 23 years of expertise and is adept in transplanting children with benign and malignant blood abnormalities, immunological diseases, and other conditions both nationally and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Kharya received his MBBS and DCH degrees from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur and Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur, respectively. After that, he completed his DNB (Paediatrics) at the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. He also worked at The Great North Children’s Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, as a fellow in pediatric hematoma-oncology, immunology, and bone marrow transplantation.

Moreover, he is credited with being the first person in India to do a haploidentical bone marrow transplant for sickle cell disease. He’s also known for performing in-vitro TCR alpha beta CD 19 depleted haploidentical BMT on a four-month-old baby with severe combined immunodeficiency, making him the country’s tiniest child transplanted to date. Dr. Kharya and his team have completed over 600 bone marrow transplants. Dr. Gaurav Kharya’s research interests include haploidentical transplants as well as matched or mismatched unrelated donor transplants.
